We are currently looking for an experienced Housing Strategy Project Manager to lead the development of a statutory Supported Housing Strategy on an interim basis. The role will involve managing an appointed consultant, coordinating stakeholder engagement and overseeing the strategy from evidence gathering and consultation through to approval, publication and delivery monitoring.The successful candidate will have significant experience developing housing strategies within a local authority environment, with a strong understanding of housing needs, supported housing and strategic housing policy.The Role Lead the development of a statutory Supported Housing Strategy and associated delivery plan. Manage an appointed consultant responsible for housing needs analysis, research and drafting the strategy. Coordinate evidence gathering to ensure the strategy reflects current and future local housing needs. Lead stakeholder engagement and consultation with Elected Members, registered providers and more. Lead the Supported Housing Strategy Steering Group, coordinating input from internal and external partners. Oversee the production of strategy documents, recommendations and supporting reports. Manage the strategy through consultation, governance, approval and publication. Develop a delivery-focused action plan with clear outcomes, responsibilities, milestones and performance measures.
