A globally renowned, market-leading engineering organisation are looking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. The primary function of this NPI-focussed role is to design and develop a range of new products and technologies. Key responsibilities include: Working on design projects from cradle to grave with a focus on the development of new products. Liaising closely with customers, suppliers, and various internal departments to ensure the successful delivery of a range of projects. Identifying solutions and implementing directives to increase manufacturing efficiency. Producing relevant engineering documentation and ensuring design work is completed on time and within budget. To be considered for this position, candidates need to have proven experience as a Design Engineer using a top-end 3D CAD package (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, Solid Edge, etc) and be familiar with manufacturing processes and design for manufacture (DFM). Furthermore, it would be advantageous to hold a formal qualification, i.e., Degree, HND, or HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related subject.
