What You Will Do
The Associate Director Medical Affairs Skin Health is responsible for managing the design and implementation plans of the medical affairs program for our Skin Health and related products, including budget development and tracking of all projects, managing and delegating work of the medical affairs network, and establishing accountability for assignments. You will also lead and manage the creation of educational and other materials for use by internal stakeholders, publication planning, preparation and review, and support technical learning needs of partners:
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Medical Affairs Network to ensure effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.Develop and implement medical strategies and plans to support the company''s goals and objectives. Own the EMEA Medical Plan for assigned productsProvide medical expertise and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.Ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory requirements and industry standards.Contribute to the development of scientific publications, science presentations, and educational materials.Stay up to date with the latest medical and scientific developments in the field.Design and implement medical affairs programs to achieve organizational objectivesProvide medical and scientific leadership inputs to the innovation strategy and program of projects and, where needed, prioritize resource to the Key Countries.Work in partnership with Health Care Professional Marketing to advance and implement effective advocacy plans with Health Care Professionals, driving recommendations and Kenvue science equityCreate educational and supporting materials for use by internal and external stakeholdersManage and delegate work of Team members and oversee accountability for assignmentsManage assigned publications to include planning, preparation and reviewContribute technical content to Regulatory Documentation including submissions, requests for information, aggregate safety reports and product information.Identify and build collaborative networks and partner with External HCP experts.Represent Kenvue with external Parties including Agencies, Professional Associations, HCP Thought Leaders, Healthcare Organizations, Scientific Meetings and Consumers.Ensure that any assigned trials/registries and other data generating activities are conducted to all applicable guidelines, regulations, company procedures with the highest ethical and quality standardsDevelop and provide medical and technical information related to the company''s products for use within and outside the CompanySupport technical learning for partnersManage budget planning and tracking, contract negotiation and oversight of vendor activitiesExecute the company''s product safety requirements including drug surveillance program which may require following up on adverse reaction reportsMaintain collaborative working relationship between medical affairs and internal stakeholders to deliver timely and expert support to product developmentLead and where needed manage a matrix group of professionalsBe a leader and advocate for our BrandsLeadership in the EMEA Medical and Safety Sciences Team, partnering with and supporting other members of the Team and wider MCSS CommunityThere may be additional responsibilities supporting other Skin Health and certain Essential Health Segment products, programs and innovation projects.
Qualifications - External
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
At least 8 years of experience in medical affairs or related field.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant Life Science or scientific discipline.Experience in leading medical affairs programs in a pharmaceutical or other healthcare organization, consumer preferred.Experience in developing and delivering medical and technical information, medical strategies and publications.Strong understanding of current guidelines, regulations and ethical/quality standards related to healthcare compliance, human subject research and medical affairs.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Strong leadership, interpersonal and management skills.
Desired Qualifications
Higher degree and/or professional qualification: PhD, Physician or Pharmacist,Prior scientific or clinical experience in Skin Health is an advantageProven track record of developing and implementing successful medical strategies and plans.Demonstrated experience representing your Organization with external stakeholders such as academics, scientific organizations or policy-makersAbility to think strategically and creatively to solve complex problems.Experience in budget management and Vendor negotiation.Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams, at a distance and across geographiesProven ability to translate science into consumer-relevant claims and messages, and working in broader teams translating consumer insights into science, supporting compelling product profiles or acquisitions
