Project Manager - Construction Consultancy

A leading construction and property consultancy is continuing to grow its Project & Programme Management team across the North East and is looking to appoint Project Managers at various levels.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Project Managers to join a collaborative and supportive consultancy environment, working across a diverse portfolio of construction projects for public and private sector clients.

As a Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of construction projects throughout the full project lifecycle, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing construction projects from inception through to completion.
• Acting as a key client interface and developing strong, long-term client relationships.
• Leading multidisciplinary project teams and coordinating project stakeholders.
• Managing project budgets, accounts, resources and commercial performance.
• Providing effective project governance, reporting and risk management.
• Advising clients on procurement strategies and contract administration.
• Managing projects in accordance with recognised project management methodologies.
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
• Contributing to business development, fee proposals and tender submissions.
• Identifying opportunities for repeat business and developing existing client relationships.
• Supporting senior colleagues on larger and more complex projects.

We are keen to speak with Project Managers at different levels who are looking to develop their career within a leading consultancy.
Ideally, you will have:

• A degree or equivalent qualification, preferably within a construction-related discipline.
• Professional membership or progression towards MRICS, MCIOB, MAPM or equivalent.
• Proven experience delivering construction projects within a consultancy or client-side environment.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of project governance.
• Experience with NEC and/or JCT contracts and UK procurement routes.
• Knowledge of UK construction Health & Safety and environmental requirements.
• Experience within local or central government projects would be advantageous, particularly across education and residential.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong professional relationships.
• A proactive, collaborative approach and genuine commitment to continued professional development.
• A valid UK driving licence.
