Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Technical LV Electrician with strong industrial experience to join a growing engineering team in Derby. This role will involve working across a range of industrial electrical systems, carrying out installation, maintenance, fault finding, and supporting critical operations.

You will play a key role in ensuring reliability and performance of electrical systems, with participation in an on-call rota to support reactive maintenance and emergency response.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out installation, maintenance, and fault finding on LV electrical systems
• Work on industrial equipment, control panels, and distribution systems
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime
• Support commissioning and upgrade works where required
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards
• Participate in an on-call rota for out-of-hours support

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as an LV Electrician within an industrial environment
• HV Knowledge a preference but not essential - a willingness to learn is very much needed
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience with control panels, motors, and distribution systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Knowledge of relevant electrical standards and regulations (e.g. BS7671)
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to participate in on-call rota

• Travel, Hours & Call-Out

  • Working away is required, with all expenses fully covered.
  • Standard working hours: 8 hours per day at standard rate, with time-and-a-half paid thereafter.
  • The company provides a 24/7 call-out service 
  • The successful candidate will not be placed on the call-out rota until they are fully inducted.
  • Discretionary call-out payments to be confirmed.
