We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a skilled engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of production machinery. Your work will help maximise equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and support the introduction of new or upgraded machines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform regular maintenance and servicing of production equipment
* Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime
* Assist with installation, commissioning, and handover of new or refurbished machinery
* Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems
* Carry out PLC programming, modifications, and troubleshooting
* Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and ensure compliance with schedules
* Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
* Implement quality measures to ensure equipment operates to specification
* Contribute to continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives
* Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient working environment
Requirements:
* Level 3 qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
* Strong understanding of engineering principles and technical drawings
* Experience maintaining production machinery, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
* Practical knowledge of PLC programming and fault diagnosis
* Previous experience in CNC machining, precision engineering, or a similar manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., AS9100)
* Good problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities
* Numeracy and analytical skills
