This role is a pivotal in ensuring the smooth financial operation. You will oversee financial planning, monitoring and control processes, ensuring compliance, delivering accurate management information, and guiding finance staff day-to-day.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFinancial Management and Reporting- Produce high-quality budgets, forecasts, and financial- Prepare monthly management accounts and communicate insights to stakeholders- Monitor and forecast expenditure, investigating variances and resolving issues- Reconcile payroll monthly against budget- Produce cashflow statements and multi-year budget forecasts- Maintain year-end timetable and statutory reportingCompliance, Controls and Processes- Ensure compliance with the Financial Handbook- Support audit preparation and Government financial returns- Maintain the chart of accounts- Support purchasing processes including quotations and tenders- Review fixed assets, accruals and prepayments- Report suspected fraudulent activityTeam Leadership and Collaboration- Line-manage Senior Finance Assistants- Communicate financial information clearly- Support process improvementABOUT YOUEssential Qualifications and Experience-AAT Level 3+- Minimum 2 years in a finance role in a medium/large organisation- ..... full job details .....
