Job Title: Motor Vehicle Tutor (Light Vehicles) Location: North LondonContract: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £35,000 - £40,000 per year Key Responsibilities Deliver practical and classroom-based teaching and assessment Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work and learning materials Set and mark assignments and provide learner feedback Assess learner progress against curriculum/apprenticeship standards Act as a personal tutor and provide pastoral support Maintain attendance records, registers and learner documentation Maintain course files and programme paperwork Support college marketing/events activity when required Follow safeguarding, equality and health and safety policies Essential Requirements Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Technology (or equivalent) Minimum 5 years'' industry experience working on light vehicles Strong knowledge of diagnostics and repairs (powertrain, chassis, electrical, drivetrain, auxiliary systems) Confident using diagnostic equipment (scanners, oscilloscopes, air con equipment) IT competent (Microsoft Office) Level 2 English and Maths (or willingness to work towards) Willingness to work towards a recognised FE teaching qualification Important Notice Dovetail and Slate is a specialist education recruitment company.
