Job Title: Handyperson- Escort / Fabric OperativeLocation: HMP Coldingley- WokingContract: Temporary 39 hours per week- Monday to FridayAbout the RoleWe are seeking a reliable and proactive Handyperson- Escort / Fabric Operative to support the safe and efficient running of a busy site environment. This varied role combines hands-on maintenance tasks with escorting duties, ensuring both the estate and the individuals on-site are safe, secure, and well supported.You will carry out a range of repairs and general maintenance as well as oversee, supervise, and escort personnel and contractors in line with strict security procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Maintenance and Fabric TasksChanging light bulbs and ensuring fixtures/fittings are in good working order.Carrying out minor plumbing, carpentry and general repairs.Cleaning and clearing general areas as required.Moving and assembling furniture and equipment.Footpath and exterior maintenance across seasons.Painting, decorating, gutter clearing, and basic building fabric repairs.Changing filters on air-conditioning units.Installing noticeboards and completing basic property upkeep.Escorting and Security DutiesEscorting and supervising technical contractors in line with local security procedures.Maintaining regular radio communications.Performing security checks and search procedures when required.Overseeing and chaperoning individuals to ensure they remain within designated areas safely and lawfully.Maintaining order, ..... full job details .....
