Night Front Office Associate

Dorsett Hospitality International is set to open Dorsett Canary Wharf, in Q3 2025,in Canary Wharf, London. We are recruiting for a Night Front Office Associate to join theteam at Dorsett Canary Wharf.
The RoleFront Office Associate serves as the first point of contact for all guests and visitors, playing a vital role in shaping the overall guest experience. This position is responsible for managing check-ins and check-outs, responding to guest inquiries and requests, handling phone and email communications, and supporting the efficient operation of the front desk.
Work Hour and Schedule8-hour shift from 11pm to 07:30amWork on a scheduled shift rota, including availability on weekends and public holidays
Brief ResponsibilitiesWarmly welcome and farewell guests, ensuring a professional and friendly first impression.Perform accurate and efficient check-in/out using the hotels property management system (OPERA Cloud).Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and service issues promptly and politely, escalating when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.Support lobby coverage during peak periods, offering assistance to guests with directions, inquiries, or luggage coordination.Perform nightly audits of front office and outlet transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.Reconcile guest folios, charges, payments, and adjustments in accordance with financial procedures.Verify and balance all cashier transactions, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.Review upcoming departures to confirm billing accuracy, correct charge routing, and advance processing of virtual credit cards as per hotel policy.Manage room reservations, extensions, cancellations, and modifications, while monitoring availability and coordinating with supervisors on walk-ins.Respond to guest emails, calls, and messages promptly and professionally.Process payments and reconcile guest accounts with attention to accuracy and security.Actively promote hotel offerings including room upgrades, packages, breakfast, and late check-outs to enhance guest experience and support revenue goals.Liaise effectively with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and other departments using the appropriate channels to coordinate room status and guest requests.Performs additional duties outside the scope of this job description as assigned by senior or higher management, in line with operational needs and business priorities.

The hotel will also be well connected to the local bus network and is within walking distance of riverboat services operating from Canary Wharf Pier to Central London.
