Payroll Administrator (Temp Ongoing / Potential Temp to Perm)

Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team ASAP. This role is ideal for a payroll professional who can confidently manage payroll while helping to improve processes, train colleagues, and provide expert guidance on payroll and pension compliance.

• Role: Payroll Administrator
• Location: Gravesend (Free Parking)
• Hours: Flexible part-time hours available
• Pay: -14.00 - -15.00 per hour
• Start: ASAP
• Contract: Ongoing Temporary Position with potential to become permanent

• Processing weekly and monthly payroll using Moneysoft Payroll Manager
• Managing payroll accurately and in line with HMRC legislation
• Administering workplace pensions through NEST
• Managing auto-enrolment, pension contributions, opt-ins, opt-outs, postponements, and pension compliance
• Processing and supporting C.I.S (Construction Industry Scheme) payments and subcontractor records
• Identifying and implementing payroll process improvements
• Training and supporting colleagues on payroll best practice
• Acting as the payroll subject matter expert, providing guidance and resolving queries
• Ensuring payroll records are maintained accurately and confidentially
• Liaising with employees and stakeholders regarding payroll and pension-related matters

• Proven experience in a payroll administration position
• Strong working knowledge of Moneysoft Payroll Manager
• Experience managing workplace pensions, ideally through NEST
• A solid understanding of auto-enrolment legislation and pension compliance requirements
• Previous experience processing or supporting C.I.S payments
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
• Experience training, coaching, or supporting colleagues
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• The ability to identify opportunities to streamline and improve payroll processes
