Tunnel Engineer / Lead Tunnel Engineer Remote / Home Based Long-Term Programme DFM Resourcing has an excellent opportunity for experienced Tunnelling Engineers to support the development of complex underground infrastructure for a major UK nuclear new-build programme. We''re recruiting at both Engineer and Lead Engineer level and are particularly interested in candidates from major tunnelling, rail, infrastructure, energy and underground engineering projects. The Role: Responsibilities may include: Tunnel and underground structure design Shafts and associated underground infrastructure Ground-structure interaction Tunnel alignment development Excavation support systems Permanent tunnel lining design Settlement and ground movement assessment Construction-stage behaviour Assessment of tunnel construction methodologies Numerical modelling Structural and geotechnical tunnel design Design substantiation Technical assurance Managing technical work packages and third-party engineering inputs Multidisciplinary interface management The Lead requirement combines both geotechnical and structural tunnel design, including ground conditions, alignments, excavation support and permanent lining design.
