Shift Engineer - Slough, Berkshire

A leading data centre operator is looking to appoint a Shift Engineer to join its critical operations team at a flagship site in Slough.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high-specification Tier III live environment, maintaining essential electrical and mechanical systems that support 24/7 uptime for major global clients.

Working a structured rotating shift pattern, you''ll play a key role in ensuring plant reliability, responding to incidents, carrying out planned maintenance, and maintaining world-class operational standards.

The Role
You''ll be responsible for the operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure including:

* Chilled water systems
* Air conditioning / HVAC plant
* Ventilation systems
* Diesel generators
* UPS / power distribution systems
* BMS controls
* Pumps, motors, valves and associated M&E plant
* Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
* Reactive fault finding and emergency response
* Contractor supervision
* Accurate logbooks, reports and compliance records

What We''re Looking For
* Experience within data centres, critical environments, hospitals, banking HQs, pharmaceutical or similar sites
* Strong electrical or mechanical maintenance background
* Building services / M&E plant knowledge
* Comfortable working shifts in a live operational environment
* Good fault-finding ability and calm under pressure
* Health & Safety conscious
* Excellent communication skills
