Were looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead a busy hotel kitchen at The Norfolk Arms, delivering exceptional food for a wide range of occasions
from weddings and wakes to Tap Room lunches and seasonal menu launches. Youll lead a skilled team of chefs, inspiring them to perform at their best while driving the kitchen forward through innovation and high standards.This is a hands-on role requiring a confident leader who can manage all sections of the kitchen, train and develop the team, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.What Youll Achieve in Your First 12 Months
Lead the kitchen across all service types
weddings, wakes, lunches, and seasonal menu launches
ensuring consistent quality and presentation
Train and develop the chef team to deliver high standards across every section of the kitchen
Identify and implement improvements to grow and enhance the kitchen operation
Foster team growth and performance through regular coaching and skills development
Attend and contribute to weekly HOD meetings to plan and prepare for upcoming events
Work closely with the General Manager to ensure clear, consistent communication between all departments
Maintain accurate kitchen records including chef skill profiles, fridge temperature logs, checklists, and prep sheets
Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene standards while maintaining an organised and efficient working environment
