Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
Salary: -45,408 per year + annual bonus scheme + comprehensive benefits package
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Planning Engineer to take ownership of planning and scheduling all maintenance and project activities at a modern Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) plant. This role is central to ensuring that maintenance operations are well-coordinated, resources are effectively allocated, and work is completed safely and efficiently.
You will act as the link between the Engineering and Operations teams, contributing to daily operational meetings, issuing updated maintenance plans, and ensuring work schedules align with organisational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule all maintenance and project activities, ensuring adherence to safety and efficiency standards.
- Liaise daily with Engineering and Operations teams to update and issue maintenance schedules.
- Use planning tools and CMMS to coordinate resources and ensure operational readiness.
- Monitor and present KPI data from CMMS, ensuring compliance with the Work Management Procedure.
- Oversee spare materials management and asset maintenance planning.
- Support engineering and operations projects as required.
Requirements
Essential:
- Experience with CMMS and planning tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling, spare parts/materials management, and asset management techniques.
- Proven track record in a planning or scheduling role within a process industry or power plant environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Relevant Engineering or Technical qualifications (HNC / HND or equivalent).
Desirable:
- Experience within the energy, utilities, or industrial engineering sectors.
- Knowledge of Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs) or similar large-scale plant operations.
