An excellent opportunity has been made available by my client an established housing provider in the UK. My client has a large portfolio of supported living projects and offers generic housing management and supported housing services.

Vacancy Brief:

• The vacancy is that of a Support worker; this is initially a three-month interim contract covering sickness. 
• This is a full-time vacancy; 35 hours a week. 
• Working pattern consists of morning and late shifts.
• Shift Pattern is 9-5pm, 2-10pm and 10-6pm.
• Pay rate for this role is £13.30 per hour on PAYE OR £17.15 Umbrella. 
• The vacancy will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Check covering child and adult workforce.
• Based on site, in Ludlow

The Responsibilities:

• In your job role as a Support worker, you will work with the residents of within a 6 day 9-10pm team rota to provide a safe and supportive environment for young people aged 16-25- and 18–55-year-olds. Each shift to be for 8 hours with 1 hour break.
• An important part of your job role will be to manage the scheme building as a lone worker and be deal effectively with issues of anti-social behaviour, health and safety and /or housing management issues.
• As a Support worker, you will be required to prompt and encourage residents to establish and maintain settled lifestyles.
• An integral part of your job role will be to provide a comprehensive housing support service to young people assisting with budgeting and housing benefit forms.
• Furthermore, you will be required to support residents to become financially independent, and confident in managing household income and expenditure.
