Senior Management Accountant (Fixed Term Contract - Maternity Cover) Cheshire (Hybrid) £65,000 - £70,000 + benefits Up to 10 months Immediate start preferredThe RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join a well-established, fast-paced organisation on a fixed term basis (up to 10 months) to cover maternity leave.This is a key role within the finance team, ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and quickly add value in a dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare weekly and monthly management accounts in line with reporting deadlinesMaintain balance sheet integrity, including reconciliationsDeliver budgets, forecasts, and reforecasts in collaboration with operational teamsProvide variance analysis with clear, actionable insightsSupport year-end audits and statutory reportingAct as a finance business partner to operational stakeholdersProduce detailed cost analysis (including labour, overheads, and product costing)Monitor and report on key performance indicatorsDrive improvements in financial controls, processes, and reportingSupport finance system enhancements and integrationsEnsure compliance with internal policies and external regulationsMentor junior finance team members and build strong cross-functional relationshipsAbout YouEssentialFully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Strong experience in a management accounting roleProven background in budgeting and forecastingExcellent balance sheet and reconciliation ..... full job details .....
