Interaction Education are pleased to currently be working with a great school in Wandsworth in their search for a Senior level science technician to work for them on a long term, temporary contract.The key responsibilities of the role can be found below. This role will pay around £16 per hour, and is a full time position Monday to Friday, 08.00 - 16.00.Key Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation, maintenance, and safe storage of equipment and materials for science lessons. Lead and manage a team of technicians, including task delegation and performance support. Support teaching staff in planning and delivering engaging practical lessons. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including COSHH and risk assessments. Manage the science department s inventory, ordering and stock control. Maintain and repair equipment as needed, or liaise with external suppliers. Contribute to curriculum enrichment activities, including STEM events and science clubs. Person Specification: Essential: A Level or equivalent in a science subject. Significant experience working in a school science department or laboratory setting. Strong knowledge of laboratory safety practices and procedures. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable: Degree in a science discipline. Experience managing or supervising staff. Familiarity with school science curriculum (KS3 KS5).
