Welder Fabricator (Sheet metal)
Our client is a well established and successful manufacturer. They are looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to carry out steel fabrication, assembly, installation and repair of sheet metal products and equipment. Start date around end of September 2026. Salary: £16.58 - £18.82 per hour depending on experience. Hours of work: 39 hours per week, 8.00am 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, and Friday 8.00am 3.30pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: You will be an Apprentice trained, or workshop experienced Welder / Fabricator with MIG, MAG, and TIG skills (certificates in welding are preferred) 3-5 years of proven experience in fabricating fields are required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas. Must have a high mechanical aptitude and be able to use various mechanical hand / power tools and general engineering equipment. The ability to understand engineering drawings. Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy packages and objects. Willing to work overtime at short notice. Must be meticulous with a high attention to quality and detail. Responsibilities: Carry out proficient welding techniques (MIG, MAG, TIG). Interpret engineering drawings and apply fabrication or welding techniques. Layout, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on material in accordance with engineering drawings.
