Groundworks Foreman
Location: Needham Market, Suffolk
Salary: Up to -55,000 per annum + Package

Our client, a well-established and expanding Norfolk-based groundworks contractor, is seeking an experienced Groundworks Foreman to join their growing team. With a strong pipeline of work across East Anglia and continued business growth, this is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable contractor offering long-term career prospects.

The successful candidate will be based on a major project in Needham Market, Suffolk, with approximately 18 months of secured work already in place.

The Role

This is a hands-on position requiring you to oversee site operations while also working alongside the groundworks team when required. You will be a proactive leader who is willing to lead from the front and contribute directly to the delivery of works on site.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising groundworks operatives
• Managing day-to-day site activities and ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently
• Working alongside site teams to support groundworks operations when required
• Coordinating labour, plant and materials to meet programme requirements
• Liaising with Site Managers, Engineers and other project stakeholders
• Ensuring works are completed to the required quality standards
• Promoting and enforcing health and safety procedures on site
• Maintaining accurate site records and progress reports

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Groundworks Foreman
• Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial groundworks projects
• A hands-on approach and willingness to work alongside site teams
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification
• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

• CPCS or NPORS machine operator ticket(s)
• Ability and willingness to undertake machine work when required to support site operations
