Overview

The Supplier Quality Engineer leads and supports daily supplier management activities at the Sensata make site. Working with cross functional teams to resolve any supplier related concerns they will also take the lead for New Product Development and change management across the site ensuring support for critical projects.General Responsibilities

Support containment activitiesCommunicate with relevant internal/external contacts and ensure timely closure and effectivenessNotify suppliers quality issues, drive supplier report, verify and assure suppliers’ effective containment action, root cause analysis, and corrective actions/preventive actionsProvide support during reviews and supplier selection processAssist with auditsCommunicates with the supplier on their quality performanceAssists with providing actions in case a supplier is not meeting the quality expectation and targetsEnsure best practice is adopted within the supply chainCommunication and alignment across regionsExperience / Qualifications

A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experienceMust be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demandsStrong communication skills; oral, written and presentationStrong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve resultsStrong personal and professional ethical values and integrityHolds self-accountable to achieving goals and standardsProficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customersSmarter TogetherCollaborating at Sensata means working with some of the world’s most talented people in an enriching environment that is constantly pushing towards the next best thing
