Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Manager

RPS Recruitment is partnering with a highly respected engineering organisation to recruit an HSEQ Manager who will play a key role in shaping and maintaining the company''s health, safety, environmental and quality strategy.

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining integrated HSEQ management systems while ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, standards and customer requirements.

This is a broad and influential role where you will work closely with operational teams, suppliers, customers and senior stakeholders to drive best practice across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems

• Driving compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality legislation

• Managing internal and external audit programmes

• Developing policies, procedures and risk management processes

• Supporting supplier assurance, due diligence and compliance activities

• Delivering training, coaching and guidance across the organisation

• Monitoring performance, identifying improvement opportunities and implementing corrective actions

• Promoting a proactive culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement

Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience in a senior HSEQ, SHEQ or Quality leadership role

• Strong knowledge of ISO management systems and compliance frameworks

• Experience conducting and leading audits

• Excellent understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to coach, influence and engage teams at all levels

• Experience within engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, defence, construction or other regulated sectors would be advantageous
