Business Development Manager
A fast-growing and well-backed energy solutions business is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support its expansion across the North of the UK, working with energy-intensive industrial clients on behind-the-meter energy and decarbonisation projects.This role would suit a commercially astute sales professional with a strong background in energy, renewables, or cleantech, who enjoys consultative selling, complex project development, and building long-term client relationships. The position offers a high level of autonomy, exposure to technically advanced solutions, and the opportunity to join a business at an exciting growth stage.This is a remote / hybrid role with regular travel to customer sites and occasional visits to a North West office.Responsibilities: Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities with energy-intensive manufacturers across key industrial regionsBuild and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities for behind-the-meter energy solutions including solar PV, battery storage, on-site generation, demand response, and energy efficiency projectsEngage senior stakeholders through a consultative sales approach, understanding operational, energy, and commercial driversPrepare and present tailored proposals, financial models, and ROI-based business casesLead commercial negotiations, including PPAs, ESAs, and lease-based structuresManage the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to contract award and handover to delivery ..... full job details .....
