Mechanical Foreman

Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £38,000 – £46,000 (DOE)

About the Role:
As Mechanical Foreman, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy workshop. You’ll lead a skilled team of technicians to ensure our fleet of coaches stays safe, efficient, and road-ready. This is a hands-on role where leadership meets technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and coordinate the workshop team
- Carry out diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on coaches
- Ensure health, safety, and compliance standards are met
- Manage workloads, allocate tasks, and support technician development
- Maintain accurate service records and liaise with management

 

What We’re Looking For:

- Proven experience as a senior mechanic or workshop supervisor
- Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle maintenance (coach/bus experience ideal)
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
- Leadership qualities with a hands-on approach
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
