As a Podiatrist, you will be responsible for:To welcome, assist, and handle residents’ queries and concerns in a friendly, prompt, and professional mannerTo deliver a variety of chiropody services, including nail care, callus and corn removal, foot assessments, and minor treatmentsTo provide expert advice and recommendations on foot health, footwear, and preventative care, including referrals where necessaryTo ensure high standards of hygiene and clinical best practices are always maintained, adhering to health and safety, infection control, and compliance proceduresTo demonstrate excellent communication skills and up-to-date knowledge of podiatric treatments to meet the individual needs of our residentsTo care for instruments and equipment, ensuring proper sterilisation and use of appropriate quantities of products to support cost controlTo be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the wellness or care teamTo work effectively and independently without direct supervisionTo collaborate with other departments to ensure a holistic approach to resident care and wellbeingTo perform preparation and restocking duties as requiredTo undertake any administrative tasks related to appointments, treatment records, and reportingTo attend training and professional development sessions as requiredTo be fully aware of and comply with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulationsTo triage referral and work within in the NICE guidelines.To assess and treat the high-risk case load with advanced wound management methodsTo build a working network with all community services to benefit patients.Maintain the education element and referral pathways for GPs, District Nurses, Urgent Care teamAbout you
You will have experience working in a similar clinical or care-based environmentYou will hold a recognised qualification in Podiatry/Chiropody (e.g., BSc in Podiatry) and be HCPC registeredYou will be a professional who understands the importance of delivering and maintaining high standards in a safe, clean, and compliant environmentYou will have strong communication skills, a cooperative and polite manner, and a keen eye for detailYou will be trustworthy, caring, adaptable, friendly, and patient, always striving for excellence in resident care.Advance specialised knowledge in relation to the high risk patientAbout our commitment to you
