Downing house is a residential care home offering dementia care in Withington, Manchester, offering high quality for care for up to 25 people. Downing House is looking for a Care Assistant for a 12 month fixed term contract.Role: Care Assistant – Maternity Cover – 12 months FTCLocation: Downing House Care Home, Swinbourne Grove, Withington, Manchester, M20 4PPHours:

36 hours a week and alternative weekends. 8am - 8pmShift : Week One: Monday/Wednesday/Friday. Week Two: Wednesday/Saturday/SundayPay: £12.96p/h - £13.31 p/hThe Role of Care AssistantAs one of our highly valued Care Assistants, you''ll be at the front line of care delivery.You’ll help residents with their individual care needs, such as personal care, medical care and following social interests.You’ll build a special bond with each resident, and give professional and emotional support during difficult times, such as periods of illness.Your days as a Care Assistant will be varied, interesting and rewarding.You’ll assist residents with washing, dressing, eating, drinking and getting around.Importantly, you’ll help make them feel at home.
