Role: Electronic Design EngineerLocation: Cheltenham - Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)Salary: Up to 64,500 DOE per annum + 10% bonus OverviewWe are seeking an Electronics Design Engineer with strong expertise in cost optimisation and value engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing, redesigning, and implementing electronic solutions that reduce part costs while maintaining product quality, performance, and compliance. Your technical insight and problem-solving skills will be central to ensuring the products remain competitive.As part of a cross functional engineering team, you will take ownership of identifying and delivering design driven cost reduction initiatives. This will involve assessing technical trade offs, validating design changes, and ensuring seamless integration into production. You will also engage directly with customers and internal stakeholders to balance affordability with functionality, reliability, and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities: Analyse existing circuit designs, component selection, and manufacturing processes to identify cost saving opportunities without compromising performance. Evaluate the effect of proposed design changes on electronic system behaviour, safety, compliance, and customer requirements.
