Vivid Healthcare are currently working with a service in South Wales who are seeking an experienced Band 6 or Band 7 Locum Occupational Therapist to support their Preadmission Elective Service.The role focuses on pre-operative assessments, primarily for patients undergoing hip and knee replacements. The majority of assessments and interventions are carried out virtually via telephone, with some requirement to follow up patients in the inpatient setting where needed.You will join an established and supportive team currently delivering this service.Key responsibilities include:Completing pre-operative OT assessments for elective orthopaedic patientsProviding advice, education and early intervention to optimise patient readiness for surgeryIdentifying equipment, adaptation and discharge planning needs pre-admissionLiaising with MDT colleagues to support smooth patient pathwaysOccasional inpatient follow-up as requiredThe ideal candidate will have:HCPC registrationExperience working at Band 6 or Band 7 levelPrevious experience in orthopaedics, elective services or pre-admission clinicsStrong assessment and communication skills, particularly via telephoneAbility to work independently as part of a wider MDTTo find out more or to apply, please get in touch with Vivid Healthcare today. ..... full job details .....
