Stafforce are recruiting for Rigger/Lasher Port Operatives to work for our prestigious client based at Tilbury Docks.Responsibilities:- working on vessels/ships supporting the loading and unloading of containers- you will be responsible for working in a team environment chaining and unchaining containers to the ship to secure in transit- working as a Banksman, responsible for the direction of tug drivers on ship and safety positioning of the team- Inspect tools and equipment and report any damages- Adhere to safety protocols + processes and maintain a clean and organised work environmentSkills:- Previous port experience a benefit but not essential as full training will be given- Able to pass port specific tests such as drug and alcohol testing- Have a full UK Driving Licence and your own transport.- Ability to work in an industrial high focused health and safety work area, and perform physical tasks.- Strong attention to detail and accuracy whilst on-board ship.
