We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established main contractor seeking a Design Manager to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of a diverse range of construction projects across multiple sectors, working closely with pre-construction, commercial and operational teams from concept through to completion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the design process, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Managing the design process throughout all project phases from tender through to completion.
• Coordinating architects, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams.
• Reviewing and managing design information to ensure compliance, buildability and cost-effectiveness.
• Identifying and mitigating design risks and resolving technical challenges.
• Ensuring design programmes align with project delivery schedules.
• Supporting pre-construction activities, including bid submissions and design development.
• Managing design changes and maintaining accurate project documentation.
• Promoting quality and best practice across all aspects of project delivery.

What We''re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Design Manager within the construction industry.
• Experience working on new build and refurbishment projects across a variety of sectors.
• Strong technical understanding of construction methods, regulations and design management processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and manage competing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to project delivery.
