Pay: andpound;90andndash;andpound;100 per day (depending on experience)
Supply Desk are working in partnership with a small, friendly primary school in Maidstone, who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their Reception team from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to become permanent, ideal for anyone looking to develop their career in Early Years education.
This role is particularly suited to:
- Level 3 qualified Early Years practitioners
- Graduates in a child or education-related degree, or
- Candidates with experience supporting in Early Years settings

Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the class teacher in a Reception class, supporting children in their learning and development in line with the EYFS framework
- Provide targeted support to children with a range of needs, including speech and language difficulties, ASD, or other additional needs
- Lead and support small group activities and contribute to the creation of engaging, age-appropriate learning environments
- Encourage and foster independence and confidence in pupils as they begin their learning journey
- Assist in tracking childrenandrsquo;s progress through observations and feedback, supporting the class teacher in assessments
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare, OR
- Degree in a child or education-related subject, OR
- Strong, relevant experience in an Early Years or Reception setting
- Sound knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
- A warm, patient and nurturing approach, with a strong passion for working with young children
- Strong communication and teamworking skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
