CNC Turner Required Milton Keynes

Role Summary:
The CNC Turnerwill set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to produce precision components to the required specifications. The role requires technical skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work orders.
• Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and other relevant equipment.
• Program machines or adjust existing programmes to achieve the required tolerances.
• Conduct quality checks on finished components using measuring instruments.
• Maintain accurate production records and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Work closely with other workshop staff to meet production schedules.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as in CNC machining, preferably turning within an engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD data.
• Competent in setting up and operating CNC machines.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments and quality control procedures.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Flexible and willing to learn new techniques.
