Payroll Administrator
Portfolio Payroll is recruiting on behalf of a large, well-established organisation operating at scale across the UK automotive sector. They are now looking to appoint a Payroll Assistant to join their central payroll team, supporting the accurate and timely delivery of payroll across the group. The role As a Payroll Assistant, you''ll play a key part in the monthly payroll cycle, ensuring employee data is accurate, compliant, and processed on time. Your responsibilities will include:Updating payroll records with contractual and monthly changesProcessing variable payroll informationCompleting manual statutory calculations, including SSP, SMP and SPPAssisting with month-end payroll checks, reconciliations and reportingSupporting HMRC and pension compliance, including auto-enrolmentMaintaining accurate records within the HR/payroll systemProviding a professional, approachable payroll service to employees Desirable skills and attributesPayroll qualifications or equivalent experienceExperience processing payroll (education sector experience helpful but not essential)Knowledge of HMRC rules around tax, NI and statutory paymentsExperience with auto-enrolment and pension administrationStrong reporting and analytical skillsExcellent communication and confidence dealing with stakeholders What''s on offerSalary up to 30,0002'' days annual leave plus bank holidaysHealthcare cashback plan Pension schemeSupportive, friendly and collaborative team culture If this sounds like your next ..... full job details .....
