OverviewSenior / Lead Data Scientist (Contract) for a data and architecture assessment project. Fully Remote (UK only). 6 week discovery with the likelihood of extension to 3-6 months. 2-stage interview. Up to £550 p/d (outside IR35).

Role focusYou will support a data and architecture assessment project to evaluate whether enterprise-scale customer data is fit for AI and GenAI use cases. You will explore and profile datasets, assess their quality and suitability, and evaluate organisational maturity in managing data for AI adoption. Your work will directly inform strategic decisions on product and architecture.

Responsibilities

Explore and profile datasets to assess quality, completeness, and suitability for AI/GenAI use cases.

Evaluate organisational data maturity and readiness for AI adoption.

Inform strategic decisions on product and architecture based on data assessment findings.

Experience and skills

Proven experience as a Data Scientist in large, complex enterprise environments

Strong understanding of GenAI and ML data requirements and maturity models

Experience designing and structuring data for RAG / advanced RAG solutions

Familiarity with grounding techniques for reliable LLM outputs

Hands-on experience with customer, behavioural, and product datasets (e.g. CDPs, data lakes, CRM, catalogues)

Experience with the AWS data ecosystem (e.g. SageMaker, OpenSearch)
