HV Design Engineer Braintree, Essex (Hybrid) Competitive Salary plus Benefits As a EHV Design Engineer you will be working on a range of interesting ventures across predominantly residential infrastructure design, you will be completing detailed design work for electrical infrastructure projects from 33kV up to 132kV. From budget design to operational handover, you will ensure that designs are technically and commercially compliant and delivered within agreed timescales. Key Responsibilities Preparation of compliant and high-quality electrical designs for 33kV - 132kV ICP connections. Providing innovative solutions to enable grid connections in a timely manner. Undertake the role of Designer under CDM regulations. Carrying out cable capacity calculations, load flow studies, protection studies and earthing studies. Ensure designs are compliant with legislation, industry and adopting utility specifications and all HSEQ requirements. Delivering and reviewing electricity infrastructure designs, switchgear specifications, multicore block diagrams, wiring diagrams and cable schedules, site and switchroom layouts.
