This is a hands-on role where you''ll help ensure the building remains safe, well-maintained and welcoming for students and visitors. Key Responsibilities Carry out general building fabric maintenance tasks. Complete basic painting and decorating to maintain communal areas and accommodation. Repair and replace door locks, handles and other fixtures. Change light bulbs and complete minor electrical replacements (where appropriate). Undertake basic plumbing repairs such as replacing taps and fixing minor leaks. Respond to reactive maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Conduct routine inspections and report any defects or maintenance issues. Assist with room turnarounds and general upkeep of the accommodation. Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety procedures. Support the wider facilities team with general maintenance duties as required. About You Previous experience as a Maintenance Assistant, Handyman, Fabric Engineer, Caretaker, Multi-Skilled Operative or in a similar maintenance role. Competent carrying out a range of basic building fabric repairs. Good knowledge of painting, carpentry, basic plumbing and general maintenance tasks.
