Senior Enterprise Risk Manager – Nest Invest

The roleThis is a newly created role as Senior Enterprise Risk Manager, will embed and maintain an effective Enterprise Risk Management Framework across Nest Invest as the specialist for Enterprise Risk within the Investment business. The role involves close collaboration with risk/control owners, senior management, and the Nest Invest Risk and Compliance Committee. This includes maintaining and embedding the Nest Invest Risk Management Framework, providing objective oversight and challenge, and enabling risk-informed decision-making aligned to Nest Invest’s strategic objectives.
The personThe successful candidate will be an experienced and hands on
2nd line Senior Enterprise Risk Manager
with strong knowledge of Financial Services regulation ideally Pensions or Investment Management.
We are looking for someone who is able to think intuitively and autonomously. Possesses strong influencing skills to engage effectively with others, providing direction and challenge where required and an ability to build and maintain relationships.
Experience of helping shape Enterprise Risk Frameworks is advantageous but the ability and interest to embed them in the business and developing a risk management culture is important.

Directorate/Department OverviewThe Investment directorate (Nest Invest) is responsible for investing members’ contributions in order to grow their retirement pots over the long-term. The responsibilities of the team include:
Asset allocation and portfolio risk management
Manager selection and monitoring
Responsible investment
Investment communications
Fund administration
Investment technology and financial modelling
Contributing to the development of the investment proposition
From December 2019, the Nest Investment team was seconded into Nest Invest Ltd (Nest Invest), the investment subsidiary of Nest Corporation.
Nest Invest is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). For the role holder, this means working in a regulated entity, and being required to adhere to certain rules and behaviours included in the FCA’s Code of Conduct (COCON), specifically the individual Conduct Rules defined by the FCA.
