Composite Trimmers 

Oxford | Permanent | Days | £30160 to £37440 (doe) per annum PAYE + Overtime

We're looking for two experienced Composite Trimmers to join a growing advanced composites manufacturer in Oxford. If you take pride in producing high-quality finished carbon fibre components and enjoy working in a fast-paced engineering environment, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

Working within a skilled production team, you'll be responsible for trimming and finishing advanced composite components to exact engineering specifications.

Duties will include:

• Trimming cured carbon fibre and composite components
• Using routers, diamond cutting tools, air tools and hand tools
• Drilling, machining and edge finishing composite parts
• Preparing components for bonding and assembly
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Working to tight tolerances and high cosmetic standards
• Carrying out self-inspection to ensure right-first-time quality
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment

What we're looking for

To be successful, you'll have at least three years' experience trimming composite components within an advanced manufacturing environment.

Ideally, you'll have experience in:

• Carbon fibre composite trimming
• Prepreg composite manufacturing
• Aerospace, motorsport, Formula 1, automotive or other advanced composites industries
• Diamond cutting equipment, routers and air tools
• Working from engineering drawings
• Producing high-quality cosmetic finishes
• Working to tight dimensional tolerances

You'll be someone who takes pride in their workmanship, has excellent attention to detail and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.
