This role is offering the successful candidate the chance to become the local subject matter expert for statutory accounts across multiple European entities. This is a hybrid role, with two office days per week, perfect for someone who enjoys a balance of flexibility and on-site collaboration. What will the Statutory Accountant role involve? Prepare annual statutory financial statements for European entities in compliance with local laws and GAAP.Ensure all statutory reporting deadlines are met, maintaining highly accurate financial records.Act as the primary contact for statutory audits, coordinating with auditors to ensure timely completion.Collaborate with tax consultants and in-house teams to ensure compliance with VAT, corporate tax, and other local filings.File statutory reports with relevant authorities across Europe.Reconcile statutory accounts with group accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.Work closely with finance teams, external advisors, and local authorities to ensure efficient statutory compliance.Identify and implement process improvements to streamline reporting and enhance accuracy.
