Principal Electrical Engineer - OxfordshireAn established, sustainability-focused building services consultancy is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their Oxfordshire team.This consultancy operates across multiple UK offices and provides a broad range of mechanical and electrical engineering services. Their projects span masterplans, new builds, extensions, refurbishments, fit-outs, and asset maintenance, with a strong emphasis on delivering efficient and environmentally responsible designs.Working across sectors such as education, healthcare, commercial, transport, heritage, hospitality, and community, the team partners with architects, developers, contractors, and consultants to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.The Role

As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in leading and delivering projects from concept through to completion. You will collaborate with colleagues across multiple offices, with support from senior engineers and directors, while also providing guidance to junior team members.Responsibilities

Lead and oversee electrical design projects from inception to handoverUndertake feasibility studies and surveysPrepare specifications and detailed designsProvide on-site supervision and contract administrationManage installation and coordination of building servicesMentor and support junior engineers within the teamAbout You

Essential

Degree in a relevant engineering discipline3-5 years\'' experience in building services designStrong electrical design knowledge and proficiency with design softwareExperience managing and mentoring junior staffBroad project experience across multiple sectorsCompetency with Revit and Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication and organisational skillsFull driving licence and own transportDesirable
