Accounts Assistant

We are recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant for a Welwyn Garden City based business.This role is office based and is a full-time position, Monday to Friday: 9.00am to 5.00pm.The permanent salary would be between 28000 to 35000 depending on experience - this role could be temporary to permanent or straight permanent.This role is ideal for someone with strong finance administration skills who enjoys managing day to day financial processes. This is a stand-alone role with responsibility for maintaining accurate financial records, managing routine finance tasks and supporting the smooth running of the accounts function.The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director and external accountants managing everyday financial transactions and provide financial administrative support across the company. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:Purchase and Sales Ledger - processing invoices, ensuring timely payments and accurate records.To raise sales invoices for completed works and track outstanding payments.Maintain supplier and client records and ensure purchase orders processes are followed.Payroll and staff expenses - collating timesheets and overtime submissions.Adding holiday, sick leave and staff expenses and overtime to payroll in line with internal procedures.Ensure new starter details are sent to the accountants and bank details are added to the system.Monitor bank transactions and complete and weekly and monthly reconciliations.Prepare ..... full job details .....
