A local authority based in East London is seeking a Principal Lawyer for their Property, Planning and Regeneration Team. This is a locum role; however, the client will be looking to recruit to this role on a permanent basis in due course.The role will involve the following:Managing a team of lawyersLeading on complex commercial and residential property mattersAdvising senior offices and providing comments on committee reportsThe role requires candidates to have significant post qualification experience working in local government, alongside working as a Principal Lawyer or Senior Lawyer with UK qualifications. You must have a UK practising certificate. This is a case handling and management role.Candidates must be available to start within the next 4 weeks, and you will need to attend the offices 2 days per week.
