SSA are currently recruiting for an established construction and civil engineering company as they are seeking a proactive Site Manager. This company mainly specialise in Roadworks, Highways and Groundworks. They are based in Manchester.

Job Overview:As a Site Manager for their civils division, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will manage a team of operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all site activities, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of projects.Coordinate site resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.Supervise and lead the on-site workforce, including subcontractors.Monitor site progress, quality, and safety standards to ensure compliance with project specifications.Liaise with clients, consultants, and the project team to ensure smooth communication and project delivery.Conduct regular site inspections and health and safety checks to identify and resolve potential hazards.Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, reports, and timesheets.Ensure compliance with environmental and health and safety regulations.Provide technical support and problem-solving on site issues as they arise.Essential Requirements:Proven experience as a Site Manager in the civils sectorStrong knowledge of construction processes, health and safety regulations, and quality control.Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or equivalent certification.First Aid qualification (preferred).Valid UK driving license (or relevant local driving license).HNC/D in Civil Engineering or similar qualification.Why Join Them?Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for career development and progression within a growing company.Be part of a collaborative and supportive team environment.Work on exciting and diverse projects in the civil engineering sector.
