Civil / Structural Engineer

Our client, a leading organisation in the power utilities sector, is currently seeking a Civil / Structural Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role involves working extensively with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and solar projects, contributing significantly to the development of the energy infrastructure.

• Designing and developing civil and structural frameworks for BESS and solar systems
• Conducting detailed analysis and calculations to ensure structural integrity and safety
• Collaborating with electrical engineers to integrate civil designs with 33Kv and 132kv electrical systems
• Managing project timelines and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Performing site inspections and providing technical guidance during construction phases
• Preparing technical reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders
• Providing solutions to engineering challenges in the power utilities sector
• Maintaining effective communication with project teams, clients, and external contractors

• Experience in civil and structural engineering within the power utilities sector
• Strong knowledge of BESS, solar systems, and related civil engineering principles
• Understanding of 33Kv and 132kv electrical systems and their integration with civil structures
• Proficiency in using engineering design software and tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
