Are you an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity within education?

TeacherActive is currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work within schools across Chelmsford and the surrounding areas. We are looking for reliable and motivated individuals who are passionate about supporting children with their learning, development and wellbeing.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers to provide valuable support to pupils and help create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

• Assisting the class teacher with lessons and classroom activities

• Helping pupils remain focused and engaged with their learning

• Providing additional support to pupils who may require extra help

• Supporting children with SEND and additional learning needs where required

• Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence

• Preparing classroom resources and learning materials

• Helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment

• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other members of staff

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Have previous experience working with children or young people

• Have experience within a school or classroom setting, although this is not always essential

• Are patient, approachable and enthusiastic

• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Are confident building positive relationships with pupils

• Are reliable, adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a team

• Have a genuine passion for helping children reach their potential

• Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Candidates with transferable experience from childcare, tutoring, youth work, sports coaching, care or other child-focused settings are also encouraged to apply.
