Teaching Assistant andndash; Support Autistic Children and Make a Difference
Location: Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire
Hours: Full-time
Start Date: September 2025

We are working with a highly rated school in Rickmansworth that prides itself on creating a caring and supportive environment. The school is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support autistic children and help them succeed both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with teachers to create and deliver engaging learning activities
- Supporting students through personalised action plans and strategies to aid progress
- Assisting with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Risk Assessments, Personal Care, and Therapy programmes
- Working closely with teachers, support staff, families, and external agencies to provide tailored support
- Building positive, therapeutic relationships with students and responding to their individual needs
Weandrsquo;d love to hear from you if you:
- Have experience working with autistic children, or a strong desire to develop in this area
- Understand SEN and are committed to learning and professional growth
- Can commit to full-time, fixed days
- Hold a relevant qualification such as NVQ in Childcare and Education, or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
- May have experience in residential care, school support roles, or personal experience with ASC
- Are willing to complete training such as Team Teach, TEACCH, or positive handling
- Have experience supporting independence and social-emotional development in young people
- Hold a clear and valid DBS, or are willing to obtain one
