Isio is recruiting for an Assistant Manager in the Pensions Operational Solutions Team. The role supports schemes to deliver the best outcomes for members by undertaking reviews of pension scheme data, benefit calculations, and processes and controls.You will be part of Isio’s Actuarial and Consulting team, advising a diverse range of clients across private, public and not-for-profit sectors. The work includes helping trustees and sponsors manage defined benefit plans, running large-scale communications projects, and implementing alternative reward and pension provision. The role offers opportunities to gain broad experience and develop skills.Role and Responsibilities
Contribute to the successful delivery of projects to support the Operational Solutions (OS) team revenue targets.Engage in a client-facing role with some of the largest and most complex DB and DC schemes, and insurers.Interact with pension providers, insurers and public service schemes in the UK.Support projects to deliver:
Reviews of data qualityPension benefit calculationsAdministration operationsService improvement plansData management plans and benefit remediation projects
Involvement in GMP reconciliation and data cleansing prior to GMP equalisation, or other data and benefit audit projects, and carrying out more complex benefit calculations.Produce client deliverables (usually report-style) and attend meetings to discuss findings.Check the work of junior colleagues and support training and mentoring within the team.Key Skills and Experience
Solid understanding of Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) pension schemes, including administration and regulatory requirements.Experience as a consultant or experienced Pensions Administrator in a consultancy environment, ideally with client-facing experience.Ability to review and interpret complex data and reports with accuracy and compliance.Experience in technical aspects of pensions administration, including calculations, benefit audits, and service improvement plans.Knowledge of UK pension regulations and compliance requirements.Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously with timely delivery and quality outcomes.Demonstrated Commitment to our Core Purpose
