Overview We are seeking dedicated and skilled HGV Class 2 drivers for both day or night shifts. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods across various routes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to work independently while adhering to company policies and regulations. Duties Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Transport goods to designated locations efficiently and safely, following planned routes. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and vehicle logs. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered during transport. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on the road and at delivery sites. Assist in loading and unloading cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of goods. Requirements Must have held an HGV 2 licence for a minimum of 1 year. No more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions. Hold a current valid CPC Card (DQC). Understand and be able to comply with Driver hours and WTD legislation. Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly. Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements.
