As a Business Manager, you will be at the heart of our Legal, Secretariat, Public Affairs, and Corporate Sustainability (LSPS) teams, driving efficiency and fostering a collaborative environment through exceptional coordination and communication skills. This role requires strong coordination, communication and problem-solving abilities to support seamless execution of processes and projects, drive efficiency, manage risks and foster collaboration. The role offers opportunities for professional growth and development, working closely with the Group General Counsel and LSPS leadership, and involvement in various functional and business activities.Key Responsibilities
Finance/Compensation:Oversee LSPS spend tracking to support effective cost control and coordinate the annual budget setting process for the function, ensuring financial efficiency and strategic alignment.Support the compensation review process and manage ad hoc compensation-related activities.Act as a central point of contact for all finance-related activities and provide regular updates to the Group General Counsel.Risk Management:Facilitate monthly meetings with the Risk business partner, track Control Improvement Plans and Shield updates to maintain robust risk management.Support the annual RCSA sign-off and coordinate the annual Policy Attestation.Coordinate the Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment and annual BIA sign-off.People, Communications and EngagementDrive people-related initiatives for the function, including organisational design changes, performance management calibration and talent management processes to cultivate a high-performing and engaged workforce.Oversee FTE/Headcount and recruitment approval.Engage with HR Business Partner and support Pulse Surveys participation and action planning around results.Leadership Team Support:Arrange and support LT meetings, manage agendas, and coordinate other ad hoc LT activities.Other responsibilities:Line management of the Operations and Support team and oversight of cross-versatility training.Manage relationships with external partners.Provide ad-hoc support to the Group General Counsel in preparing presentations and papers.About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess the following:Previous experience of working in a fast-paced business management capacity (or similar role).Highly organised with great attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential matters with discretion and sensitivity.Great communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring all interactions demonstrate Aberdeen company behaviours.Able to prioritise workload ensuring all deadlines are met/managed effectively.Pro-active forward planning and organising with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.We are proud to be a Disability Confident Committed employer.
