Job Description

Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards.

Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.

Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Analyse financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, or opportunities for improvement.

Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support business planning processes.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accuracy of financial information.

Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Provide technical advice on financial reporting standards and updates.

The Successful ApplicantA successful Financial Reporting Accountant should have:

Degree (2:1 or above) or equivalent qualification.

Newly qualified Accountant (ICAEW or equivalent) with strong technical skills.

Experience working in top accounting firms.

Ability to work independently and solve problems.

Ability to communicate confidently with accountants and non-accountants, managing a number of stakeholders, including senior members.

Comfortable taking on ownership and responsibility, whilst being effective working collaboratively.

Demonstrating commercial awareness

Experience with production of audit or statutory accounts.

Ability to produce well thought through, clearly laid out and expressed schedules and papers.

Excellent Excel and data analysis skills.
